As some of you know, I am on the hunt for dairy free recipies because my son has a milk allery. This allergy seems to be getting worse and he is becoming more sensitive (tonight he reacted to his hypoallergenic formula 🙁 ). So finding meals that have no dairy in them at all has been a real challenge.

That being said, I managed to come up with this great meatloaf recipie. This is by far the best tasting and texture I have ever made.


Ground Meat (I used about 600g of ground pork)

1 egg

1 cup bread crumbs

1 chopped onion

1 cup (or more) of pureed veggies made with chicken broth

2 tablespoons brown sugar

prepared mustard


salt and pepper to taste.



Mix together the ground meat, egg, bread crumbs, onion and pureed veggies (for the veggies I used a frozen veggie mix, cooked it, then pureed it with some chicken broth). Place mixture into a pan. In a small bowl mix brown sugar with mustard and ketchup, then spread on top of the meat in the pan. Cook at 175c until meat is the correct temperature (this will depend on the meat you are using). The ground pork took about 1.5hr to cook.

I loved this meal, and it was a hit with the kids and husband. My daughter is anti veggies so it was great to be able to incorporate them into the meatloaf.
