Welcome to my Mommy Matters Monday link-up. I have two rules (and they are really easy to follow). 1. Your blog post must be mom related (which, if you are a mom could be just about anything!). 2. Try to visit others. We all love having people visit our blogs. If your a dad, join the fun too (I would have named the link up Parent Matters Monday, but it just doesn’t have the same ring does it?). The link-up will stay open from Monday until Friday, so you have all week to join up.
I’m back! And I have missed this blog a lot! It is great to finally be able to sit down and write a post, even if I am writing it the night before because I don’t have that much time tomorrow..
So where have I been the last couple of weeks? Where here is the story.
A couple of weeks a job posting popped up that I applied for. Shortly afterwards (actually the same day) I was offered to go further along in the recruitment process. However there was one issue. To take the job I would have to become self employed. After much debate, I decided to go for it. At the very least continue through the recruitment process which involved 2 exams.
As many of you know I have been wanted to start my own photography and design business for a long time. I realized that this job would provide the perfect opportunity for me to start that, as it would ensure some income every week. After more discussions, looking at our finances, this is what I decided to do. I was going to go for it. Both feet in.
So the last couple of weeks have been spent writing exams, getting the job, and preparing a website for my own business.
And the big news…
Sommerfugl Design officially opens today (Monday)! I am so excited for this, and very nervous at the same time!
Sommerfugl Design provides custom blog design, photo editing services and hand drawn portraiture. It will also have a bunch of freebies as well, so be sure to follow the website to keep up-to-date with freebies.
I am also having a sale for all services for the month of May for all new clients. I am giving 35% off all products. This means, if you order a Build Your Own Blog Design Package, you can get a custom design for as little as 29$.
I also wanted to share some goals I have with you (as you can help me with time!). I am hoping by the end of the week to have 100 followers on Twitter, and 50 likes on Facebook. This you could help me out?
And just because I have not been around I need to share a couple pictures:
I just love her goofy look!! Make me laugh every time.
We went to the carnival on Saturday. I knew right away that I would want to make a color pallet from a picture. Everything was just so colorful.
