It has been ages since I have updated on Sophie (or any of the kids really..). Can you believe she is going to be 7 months old soon! I can’t. It is crazy. Time goes to quickly. Other than the last two weeks of her being cranky from being sick, we are loving this stage with her. She is such a goof, and she is just fun to watch. And she is so different from our other children in many ways. For one, she looks more like my husband. The other are all little clones of me.
She is also not doing things ‘early’ like her brothers and sisters. All three were both sitting my their selves and army crawling by this age. Sophie not so much. She is happy on her belly or back. Although we can see the frustration starting because she can’t quite reach a toy. She does push herself backwards, but not on purpose (yet). She doesn’t roll to get anywhere, she is just content where she is placed (most of the time). As for sitting.. well I think she could.. IF she would sit still long enough. She would rather stand and bounce in my lap instead.
She is such a happy baby. She doesn’t cry often. Only when her siblings have bugged her too much, or if she is being really impatient for her bottle. Speaking of bottles, we are having a bit of a hard time finding food that she is interested in eating. We are still only one one meal a day, along with a few bottles. She just isn’t all that interested in food. We have been trying a variety of things, and textures and the only thing she loves is the middle of a cucumber. Otherwise some days she will eat, other days not so much. She is growing fine now, so I am not over worried about it, but I would like her to start eating more food.
She is our best sleeper when she is not sick. She goes to bed between 6:30 and 7:00pm and doesn’t wake again until 5:30-6:00am. She is also pretty easy to put down to bed at night. The days are a bit of a different story. I can usually get her to nap in the pram if I take her for a walk. Some days she will sleep twice, other days only once. The length also varies. But overall, she is super sweet, adorable, and just so easy to love.
I love this stage. I wish I could keep her here just a bit longer, however I know it will be gone in a blink.
