So the whole point of signing up for the Write 31 Days was to do just that… write a blog post for each of the 31 days in October. Here it is the 5th, and I have already missed a blog post.. or is it two?

Oh well… life goes one, and I am writing today so that counts for something right? Honestly, I have just been busy (when am I not…). I have had 4 hour classes each day, sales coming in for Mini Backdrops, and I am every so close to launching (my new awesome virtual assistant service). I had actually hoped to have it done yesterday. Didn’t happen. I hope to have it done today.. at some point.

So how am I doing with the whole health thing you ask?

Well not bad. Could be better. I have managed to stay away from sugar and junk food. Yesterday was hard. There is a bunch of really tasty ice cream in our freezer calling my name, and it almost convinced me yesterday to come to it and devour the entire box. But I prevailed and opted for some tea instead (boring!). So yay me there!

I haven’t done any exercise the last couple of days. Ooops. Monday I just didn’t do it. Didn’t want to. Yesterday I had every intention of hitting 10 minutes on the bike after the kids were in bed. However I found myself all comfy in bed..and decided that was where I was going to stay. So today I am going to try to do 15 minutes.

I am also trying to adjust my sleep schedule. I have been sleeping entirely too much, and I am horrible at getting work (or anything really) done in the evenings after the kids are in bed. So I am working on getting up early. Like super early. Like 3 am early. Insane right? Well.. the way it works on in my head is awesome. See the plan is get up at 3. Work for 3 hours until 6, get the kids up and off to daycare/school and either go to school myself or work until 12.30. That gives me a 7 or 8 hours of work time (minus the days I am in school, which is usual done by noon), and an additional 3 hours or so to either be lazy, nap, or clean the house before the kids get home at 4. Then I am free for them until they go to bed, and I am able to go to bed at 9. I will get 6 hours of sleep. Seems good to me.

So I am working on getting up earlier each day to get to 3am. Right now I am at 3.30am and honestly I had a bit of a midday slump, but here it is 3.30pm and I am not feeling and more tired than usual. This schedule is the only one where I can seem to fit enough work time, self time, cleaning time and family time in a day.

What do you think?
